Ron's Dark Ember carries a darker, more romantic mood, and he is especially effective when paired with blush, cream, or copper tones. Bloom size is still being tracked at Hedge & Alchemy. The laciniated flowers are described as dark red, with split or fringed petal tips that add dramatic texture and movement.
Bloomed at Hedge & Alchemy in our 2026 garden.
📖 From the journal of Hedge & Alchemy
I’m growing him for my dad, Ron, and because my name is Amber, the name feels almost too perfect. I love this one far more than I expected. The color is hard to capture correctly on camera, the laciniated petals are wildly cool, and he is genuinely one of the most unique flowers in the garden.
