Hollyhill Masquerade is one of those wonderfully unpredictable dahlias where the name feels almost too perfect. Bred by Ted and Margaret Kennedy of Hollyhill Dahlias and introduced in 2018, she produces large informal decorative blooms in burgundy-purple and white, but the pattern is delightfully unstable. Some flowers are clearly bicolor, others are splashed or blotched with white, and some may emerge almost entirely deep burgundy-purple.

She feels a little theatrical, changing masks from one bloom to the next.

🌱 2027 Grow-Out

Hollyhill Masquerade will arrive at Hedge & Alchemy in Spring 2027 and will be grown here for the first time that season. She will not be offered in our 2027 tuber sale.
