Kuroi-Hoshi brings a richer, moodier note to the garden, and she feels perfectly at home among the dusky end of the dahlia palette. A highly unusual Japanese anemone that begins with deep purple guard petals around a fuzzy yellow center. As the bloom ages, the center can deepen toward a gothic cherry-black tone.
