Little Beeswing is a tiny ember from another century. Her miniature golden pompons are licked with flame-red to orange-red, packing remarkable color into flowers scarcely larger than a coin.
๐ฑ 2027 Grow-Out: This variety will arrive at Hedge & Alchemy in Spring 2027 and will be grown here for the first time that season. It will not be offered in our 2027 tuber sale.
๐ฏ๏ธ History & Preservation
Introduced in 1909 by the English nursery Keynes, Williams & Co., Little Beeswing has survived for well over a century. Growing flowers like this is a form of living conservation for me: each healthy clump is another chance to carry an old cultivar forward into future gardens.
