Sakura Fubuki
Sakura Fubuki is a soft, feathery Japanese dahlia in luminous candy pink, lavender-pink, and pale blush, with finely split petal tips that give the flower a fluffy, almost frosted appearance. Rather than looking sharply spiky, the fringed edges blend together into a full, cloud-like bloom with a darker magenta center.
She was bred in Japan by Yamaki Ikushuengei Laboratory before 1992 and introduced in 1995. The name Sakura Fubuki translates roughly to “cherry blossom snowstorm,” a wonderfully fitting name for a flower that looks like layers of pink petals caught in motion.
🌱 2027 Grow-Out
Sakura Fubuki will arrive at Hedge & Alchemy in Spring 2027 and will be grown here for the first time that season. She will not be offered in our 2027 tuber sale.
